Hugo de Carvalho
...grew up in Rio de Janeiro, studied classical ballet at the Teatro Municipal and with Tatiana Leskowa. He was a dancer @ Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Carla Fracci Cia in Milan, Ballet da cidade de Sao Paulo, Ballet Contemporain Brussel, Chemnitz Oper, where his encounter with Carsten Nikolai awakened his inclination for fine arts. Studied choreography and theater directing at the Ernst Busch University. Collaborations with Thomas Ostermeier & Benoit Maubrey. In his work he focuses on various serial works such as "Airline X-Ray" / Thursday Gallery in Berlin or "Mirrorball," a series about the Berlin TV Tower that has been touring northern Italy since August , as well as the current series "Concrete Concrete Fantasy".
